ABOUT

Jasmine Chess was born into music. The sought-after DJ—known as much for her signature vintage style as for her genre-mixing turntable skills—can trace deep industry roots back to her grandfather, Leonard Chess, who founded Chess Records in 1950 and discovered talents like Muddy Waters, Etta James and Chuck Berry. In the 1970s, her father, Marshall Chess, took the reigns, founding The Rolling Stones record label and spawning an entire psychedelic era in music. Now, Jasmine is carrying on the family legacy: The fashion plate is regularly tapped to DJ high-profile events from product launches to parties for major companies like Google and Nike, iconic magazines like Vogue and Nylon and design houses like Alexander McQueen and Cartier. When she’s not spinning records, Jasmine curates her high-end e-commerce shop, Vetta Vintage, featuring a collection as eclectic and bold as her tunes.
